Pacific Smiles brought joy among the mothers at the Nadi Hospital Maternity ward after donating more than 20 gift packs for their babies earlier today.
Founders of the Australian charity organisation, Josua and Sheree Rarasea have taken on a big but worthwhile challenge by committing themselves to help the children in the Pacific Islands.
?Being parents ourselves to four children, we want to help the mothers here in Fiji and of course the children. We want to give them the care they need,? Sheree said.
They registered the charity in April, 2011 after their visit to Fiji, Josua and Sheree are determined to make a difference, as they have one clear goal in mind and that is to create new opportunities for children in Fiji and throughout the South Pacific Islands, to help them learn and develop.
?We do this by distributing much needed learning equipment and essentials to villages, orphanages and homes,? Sheree said.
Also part of the team were Fiji born rapper, Sam Ratumaitavuki, famous for his stage name, Fortafy and his girlfriend Shana Evers who arrived in the county on last week Friday.
Promise Smiles team will later pay a visit to the children at the Orphanage home in Lautoka and Tavua tomorrow.
