Uate scores hat trick to help his side win

Akuila Uate crossed for a hat trick, as New Castle thrashed West Tigers, 42-10, to close out round one of NRL at Hunter Stadium last night.

The former Fiji Bati scored three of the Knight?s seven tries.

Uate caught the ball on his own 10 metre line, blistered his way through tackles and raced down 60 meters to go over in the right corner to score his first try.

The Tigers’ points came via tries to Adam Blair and Tim Moltzen, while Benji Marshall added a lone conversion.
