The Outrigger on the Lagoon Nadroga thrashed Uprising Northland in the final round of the Digicel Cup clash at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka last week.
The Setefano Somoca led team scored six unanswered tries to a 47-6 win. Northland only managed with two penalties from the boots of flyhalfIlikimiLiloma.
The Stallions were happy with the bonus point win.
Despite the win, captain Somoca said there were still a lot of rooms for improvement in the team and they will work on it during their training sessions in preparation for their next game.
?We are happy to achieve a bonus point win,? Somoca said.
?It is our aim to retain the Digicel Cup and we have to work hard on it.?
Stallions flyhalf?s magical kicking style topped up the host?s points with eight convesrions while JiutaLutumailagi kicked two later in the second half.
Meanwhile, the young Northland Watisoni Ratulevu coached side played exceptionally well against an experienced team.
Ratulevu was happy with his team?s overall performance despite the loss.
?When my young side plays Nadroga it brings the best out of them,? said Ratulevu.
?There were a lot of missed tackles and turnovers. Comparing this game against Macuata, Tavua and Namosi I am happy with how my team played and by next year this young team will be able to do it.
