  1. Man arrested for impersonation

Police in the Labasa have arrested a 34 year old man of Lautoka for impersonating an OHS officer? .The man wore an OHS name tag and impersonated an OHS officer where he later approached? a man of Delailabasa and demanded he make changes to his shop or his shop will be closed. The suspect also threatened the businessman that he will close his business if ?he does not adhere to his instructions.

Police were informed and the man was arrested.

  1. Police warns taxi drivers

Police are warning taxi drivers to be careful after two drivers were robbed over the weekend.

Both drivers were working when they were robbed by their passengers.

The first complainant was robbed at Huon Street in Suva? where the suspects ran away with items worth over $1000.

The second complainant was robbed at Ritova Street in Suva where unknown persons robbed the driver of $70 cash and a mobile phone worth $200.

Police are investigating both cases.

  1. Vehicle accident

Seven passengers of a carrier were treated at the hospital and send home whilst two admitted for observation at the CWM Hospital last night after the carrier they were in went off-road at Princess road last night.

The carrier driven by a 49 year-old man carrying people from the Suva Market to their villages in Naitasiri.

Police are investigating the incident.

  1. Drug uprooting in Ra

Police on Saturday uprooted over 50 marijuana plants in a village in Ra.

The plants have already been tested and proved to be marijuana by the police analyst officer in Nasova.

The Fiji Police Force is at the moment conducting at operation codenamed ? Viribai? in the district of Wainibuka and Ra.

It involves conducting awareness to the villagers and searches in the jungles by special teams from the Forces Special Response Team in Nasinu.
