The 2014 Courts Inter-District Championship?s four knockout stages teams will be decided only after the pool matches conclude today at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Shop N Save Nadi leads pool A with four points ahead of All Freight Logistics Suva who is also on four points but goal difference separates the two teams, Dalip Chand Buses Labasa is on three points while newcomers Tailevu Naitasiri have no points at all.
Pool B is led by Lautoka with four points ahead of second place tournament upsetters Finance Pacific Nadroga who is on three points. BOG champions Rewa is on three points ahead of defending champions 4R Electric Ba who is on fourth place with one point in bag.
From pool A, the Jetsetters only need a draw against Labasa to book their semi-final spot, while the Babasiga Lions have a must win situation to qualify. The Capital City boys also needs a draw to qualify, however if T/Naitasiri upsets Suva and Labasa beats Nadi by a goal would mean Nadi and Labasa to qualify from this pool.
In pool B, the baby blues only need a draw to qualify but a win would make them be the pool winners. For the Stallions, a win against Lautoka would surely book their place in tomorrow?s semi-final, a draw will mean they have to wait for Ba versus Rewa clash and would be hoping that it ends in a draw otherwise a loss will be the end of their IDC campaign. For the delta tigers to qualify, they surely need a win against Ba and if it ends in a draw they would be hoping for Lautoka to beat Nadroga while for the ?men-in-black? are desperately need a win to be in contention to defend their title.
Meanwhile, today?s games in the super premier division will start at 1pm with Lautoka taking on Nadroga, hosts Suva meets T/Naitasiri at 3pm, Ba plays Rewa at 5pm while Nadi will battle Labasa in the final pool match of the day at 7pm.
