The Vodafone Fiji under-20 side ended the 2014 OFC Presidents Cup campaign settling for the sixth place in the competition.
The Ravinesh Kumar coached side was thumped by Bodden Town 3-0 in the fifth-sixth place play-offs at the Trust Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.
Bodden?s goals came from Emmanuel Brown in the first half while Theron Wood and Jonathan Ebanks got their names on the score-sheet in the second half as Fiji?s Jale Dreloa got cautioned later in the first half.
Coach Ravinesh Kumar was happy with the good workout from his side despite getting another loss to their tally.
?Of course yes and the other team proved to be better than us. Today I would say that I was a little but disappointed by the performance of the boys.
At times they were good, but I?ve noticed something that in each of these three games, after the 25th minute, then we concede a goal. That means that their concentration level is only up until the 25th minute and then they go loose.?
He mentioned the areas that he needs to work on with his boys.
?It will obviously help us a lot in terms of concentration level and that is why we are in this tournament here, to see our mistakes and then correct them.?
Kumar stated this was not the end of football as their major focus is to prepare for the World Cup next year.
?I would say this is not the end of football for these boys and for Fiji. We are preparing ourselves for the World Cup which is very good.
They will learn lessons and each and every time they play games they will learn lessons.?
