While addressing primary and secondary school staff and students of Richmond, Minister Tuitubou reiterated the ministry?s stance on youth development.

?Youths make up a large portion of the country?s population and that is why developing young people in this early stage is important because youths are responsible for the future of the country,? the Minister said.

Minister Tuitubou emphasised to high school students of the significance of joining youth groups in their communities.

?I am proud to say that most of the youth groups we have visited so far are running successful income generating projects as a direct result of following the ministry?s programmes and I urge students who are in the youth age group to either join or start up a youth group of your own as it will help in your growth as young people,? he said.

Richmond Methodist High School vice-principal Mr Eneriko showed his appreciation to the ministry delegation for the timely visit.

?We are immensely grateful and honoured that the Minister and his delegation took time out from their busy schedule to visit the students here at Richmond,? Mr Eneriko said.

?It is my hope that the students will take to heart the words of advice by the Honourable Minister in order to inspire and also act as a means of motivation in their journey as young people,? he added.

The Minister was presented basic sporting equipment to the school managements of both Richmond primary and secondary schools.
