Nadi, 09 June 2015 ?The Victoria Wines Food and Wine Festival aims to project the array of sophisticated culinary wonders that Fiji has to offer as a key component of our tourism product at the Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) 2015 which starts next week.
Inclusive of traditional Fijian flavours from Nadina, Thai flavours from the newly opened Chantara at Radisson Blu, famous Maravu favourites from the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort, as well as a healthy Deli range, a global selection of flavours from Hard Rock by Jack?s, Indigo, Bone Fish, Chefs and Mamacitawill also feature at the expo.
The Victoria Wines Food and Wine Festival ? a key feature at FTE 2015 ? will be held on Wednesday, 17 June with more than 14 chefs showcasing a broad range of tasty morsels. These skilfully crafted dishes will be accompanied bya range of carefully selected wines from Victoria Wines, who carry some of the best wines from around the world such as Villa Maria from New Zealand, Yalumba from Australia, Bottega from Italy, Gerard Bertrand from France and Trapiche from Argentina.
?We will be launching Mamasake at FTE, a brand new concept restaurant for Fiji. Internationally renowned Sofitel Fiji will be launching a new pool side dining concept and Starwood will feature two of their signature restaurants,? Tourism Fiji?s Director of Events, Ms Sally Cooper says.
?Lee Acreman from Taste Fiji will ensure those with a sweet tooth are satisfied with his Fiji sugar cane inspired range of sweet treats, while Farmers Club with gourmet pub food a kava cafe and their fire dancers adding their own taste to the food and wine festival,? Ms Cooper adds.
Hilton Fiji Beach Resort Executive Chef, Mr Clinton Webber says their Deli Cabana menu will be showcasing high-end gluten free products, all artisan made, using fresh local & imported items, while the Maravu ? meaning ?Calm Ocean? ? menu is a Pan Asian style restaurant.
?Our menu is designed around the South East Asian cuisine with influences from China. These dishes satisfy the four major tastes sensations, hot, sour, sweet & salty. Each dish maximizes these sensations by using the freshest local & imported ingredients,? Mr Webber says.
