Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration Hon Timoci Natuva will be visiting our troops and policemen and women serving in the Middle East and Africa.
The Middle-East tour is a normal bi-annual event for the Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration in his capacity as the line Minister for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) and the Fiji Police Force.
The visit will begin with courtesy calls at the UN Headquarters in New York followed by the MFO Headquarters in Rome in order to hear both their views on Fiji?s participation, current developments in the field and what the future holds for the missions.
The Minister will then proceed to Lebanon, the Golan Heights, Israel to visit an Officer serving in Jerusalem with the UN Truce Supervisory Organisation (UNTSO) after which he will visit Sinai before the final leg to South Sudan where our troops and policemen and women are serving under the UN Mission in the Republic of South Sudan.
Minister Natuva will be accompanied by the Commissioner of Police Major General Ben Groenewald and the Commander Land Forces, Colonel Sitiveni Qiliho.
The delegation will leave tomorrow and is expected to return on the 5th of August, 2015.
