In a bid to help the welfare of rugby, Jack’s of Fiji is yet again sponsoring Nadi Rugby Union committing a cheque of $70,000 sponsorship.
The sponsorship is an increase from last year which consist of $30,000 cash and $40,000 in kind donation.
The contribution includes on field QAQA merchandise apparel and sports gear for senior team, under 20 team, management and as well referees.
Jack’s of Fiji chief executive officer Bhavin Khatri said Jack’s is excited to be sponsoring the team thus marking another mile stone sponsorship with Nadi rugby.
Jack’s of Fiji has been partnering with Nadi Rugby for the last four years making this the fifth year of their partnership.
“We are proud to reconfirm our sponsorship and being the major sponsors for Nadi Rugby this year the team will be known as Jack’s Nadi Rugby and we are positive that the team is all geared to achieve greater heights this year under the leadership of the new president,” Mr Khatri said.
“This merchandise is acquired with high standards to see that the team gets the best equipment’s and it helps and delivers the skill and delivery that is expected of the team,” he said.
“We look forward to our partnership and we will ensure that we work closely to see our success and Nadi being our hometown we are proud to confirm our partnership with Nadi rugby and Nadi soccer.”
Nadi Rugby Union president Ponijese Rayasi acknowledged Jack’s of Fiji for their continuous support towards the team.
“We are forever proud to be part of our very own Nadi company and for the team to be known as Jack’s Nadi team. Our Jack’s Nadi team has produced mixed results, the support we have received from Jack’s,” he said.
Rayasi said it would be a challenging year for the team this year since there are only eight teams taking part in the Skipper Cup competition.
“We are proud to say that we are amongst the top eight teams in Fiji,” he said.
“The union has brought about good changes within the structures to add values to this partnership.
Rayasi said the brand QAQA which is Jack’s of Fiji sponsored brand will be a motivating factor that the side will be banking on in the fight throughout the matches.
“This is something that is being drilled to the players for the last past weeks as we look forward to facing Nadroga this weekend,” he added.
Meanwhile, the first round of Skipper Cup games will see Naitasiri facing Namosi, Malolo takes on Suva, Macuata and Northland while the defending champion Nadroga challenges Nadi.
