The Nadi Hospital Board is thankful to the Nadi Bula Festival Trust for their donation towards the hospital.
The Trust had donated $9,000 towards the renovation of the hospital’s Women’s Ward toilet facilities.
Nadi Hospital Board Chairperson, Mohammed Israr Khan said the Nadi Bula Festival Trust has been a partner with Nadi Hospital for so long and have been donating funds towards the hospital based on their annual earnings.
“We identify certain projects that need work and we let the Nadi Bula Festival Trust know and they fund the project. This year out of our priorities we saw the women’s ward toilet and bathroom were not in the best conditions,” Mr. Khan said.
Nadi Bula Festival Trust President, Leone Naivalu said after much discussion and deliberation with the board chairman and SDMO of the hospital they managed to identify the toilet facilities for renovation.
“With a scope of work received from the Board of Visitors, Digicel Bula Festival donated $9,000 and also signed an MOU as a form of partnership with Bula Festival,” Mr. Naivalu said.
Meanwhile, there other parts of the Nadi Hospital that needs renovation.
Mr. Khan said they are also looking at the renovating the men’s ward toilet facilities, the outpatient ward and the hospital’s laboratory.
