Burger King will be opening two restaurants in Suva soon.

Burger King Fiji General Manager, Akash Narsey said they are currently building a restaurant at the Ganilau House in Suva.

“We are looking at tentatively October to get that opened,” Mr. Narsey said.

He said they’re building another restaurant in Nakasi, Nasinu.

“There’s no firm timeline as yet for that one but we’re looking at early next year to open,” Mr. Narsey said.

He said the features of the two restaurants will be the same as the existing ones but with some unique features.

He adds they will employ roughly the same amount of people as they do in the already three existing local restaurants.

“Each store has generally 30-35 people that doesn’t include back of house workers,” Mr. Narsey said.

He said with more restaurants being opening up, there are more opportunities that grow as well.

“We are always looking at hiring more people to grow the business because that’s what we do in the Motibhai Group as well, we try and have the best local talents and help them grow,” Mr. Narsey said.

He said a lot of key members within the restaurant were involved in other parts of the Motibhai Group have been moved into the Burger King Business.

“We’ve given them greater responsibilities and I must say that they have contributed greatly to the growth of Burger King locally,” Mr. Narsey said.
