A clinical team from the Eye Institute in New Zealand is in the country and are providing eye screening clinic to Punjas staffs.
Eye Institute is New Zealand’s leading provider of eye surgery.
For many years, one of Eye Institute’s leading surgeons, Dr. Peter Hadden, has been working closely with local Ophthalmologists and conducting volunteer work in Fiji.
Many Fijians requiring sight saving surgery regularly fly over to Auckland for Dr Hadden to operate on them.
Dr Hadden said they were glad to assist these employees.
“We are delighted to be able to assist the employees of Punjas with their eye health,” he said.
The Eye Institute team will be working closely with local Ophthalmologists to create a seamless service for employees of any other companies, including people with private health insurance who want to access some of the best eye care in the world.
Dr Hadden and his clinical team provided eye screening clinics to the staff at Punjas on June 23rd and 24.
