FRIDAY 07 JUNE 2013. The 2012 Fiji Sports Awards, a joint event organised by the Fiji National Sports Commission, Fiji Sports Council and Fiji Association of Sports & National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) will be held on Friday 25 July 2013 at the Vodafone Arena.
Nomination forms have been circulated to all affiliated sporting organisations of FASANOC. Sporting clubs, Individuals and the public are welcome to nominate worthy candidates. Eleven awards are up for grabs in the following categories:
1 2012 FIJI SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR
2 2012 FIJI SPORTWOMAN OF THE YEAR
3 2012 YOUNG MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
4 2012 YOUNG FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
5 2012 FIJI COACH OF THE YEAR
6 2012 FIJI SPORTS ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR
7 2012 FIJI TECHNICAL OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR
8 2012 FIJI SPORTS ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR
9 2012 FIJI SPORTS PHOTOGRAPH OF THE YEAR
10 2012 FIJI SPORTS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
11 2012 FIJI SPORTS TEAM OF THE YEAR
Guidelines for nominations and nomination forms are publicised on the Fiji Sports Council and FASANOC websites. Nominations on the prescribed nomination forms must reach the Fiji Sports Council by 5pm on Friday 21st June, 2013. No late nominations will be accepted.
An independent panel of Judges is currently being finalised that will include members of the private sector and the media. An overseas Guest Speaker has been identified and a great evening including a banquet dinner are being finalised.
