FIJIAN HEAD OF STATE VISITS THE FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA

The Vice President of the FSM Alik L. Alik IS seated with the Fijian President while Fiji’s Envoy to the FSM Litia Mawi looks on with with senior official from the GOVERNMENT of the FSM.

Fijian President H.E Ratu Epeli Nailatikau held talks this week with the President of the Federated States of Micronesia, H.E Manny Mori.

Fiji’s Head of State arrived this week in the FSM to meet with senior government officials including the Vice President, H.E Alik L. Alik.

The Fijian President’s visit to the Federated States of Micronesia reinforces the Bainimarama Government’s commitment to enhance and strengthen relations with Fiji’s Pacific Island neighbors.

Talks held this week between the Fijian Delegation and members of the FSM Government included an update on Fiji’s electoral developments. This includes the schedule election to be held on the 17th of September this year.

Whilst in the FSM, President Nailatikau called on the Speaker of the House for the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia, Mr Dohsis Halbert.

Earlier this week the Fijian President led a delegation to the Republic of the Marshall Islands and met with senior government officials and members of the Fijian community living there.
