Members urged to register for SUPERTxt service

Savenaca Savou is being assisted by Aseri Ratulevu during the talanoa session in Vunaniu, Serua.

Villagers who were part of the FNPF talanoa session at Vunaniu, Serua last Friday were urged to register for the SUPERTxt service to access their FNPF balances on their phones.

SUPERTxt is a free SMS service that the Fund offers its members to ensure that they get monthly updates of their FNPF balances. This service allows members to;

  • Watch their retirement savings grow every month
  •  Ensure that their FNPF contributions are paid by their employer (i.e. if your balance does not change the previous month’s then you can enquire with the FNPF or your employer whether your contributions were paid or not)
  •  Ascertain that their FNPF contributions are posted in their account (your contributions may have been paid but may have not been directed to your account – this will enable you and the FNPF to address any anomalies that may arise from unidentified contributions)

Vunaniu villager, William Mataiciwa said the talanoa session has made him more aware of the services provided by the Fund.

“I am now more aware of the services FNPF provides for example the SUPERTxt service will greatly benefit villagers like me as it will enable me to receive my FNPF balance on my phone for free!”

Marica Naiciva said had not attended the talanoa session that evening, she would not have known of the number of services provided by FNPF to its members and more so, to actually register for the SUPERtxt service.

Members can apply for this service by simply filling the SUPERTxt Registration Form (Form 3S) to register their personal mobile numbers and provide a valid photo ID (passport or FNPF Card or Driver License or Electronic Voter Card) for verification.

The talanoa session was organised by the Fund to create awareness on its role and to foster an informal opportunity for discussions between villagers and Fund executives.

Vunaniu Village Headman, Viliame Tuitoga said the session was very helpful because it educates and empowers villagers to invest and become members of the Fund.

“I’ve learnt that farmers can also become members and I’m going to encourage our youths to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Fund,” he said.

“I’m thankful to the CEO and his team for bringing the service to our people, we have been enlightened by the information that have been shared by the team.”

Apart from talanoa sessions, the Fund Employers and Public Relations team also visits workplaces to create awareness and to rendered services such as the Joint FNPF/FRCA Card, Special Death Benefit and Funeral Assistance, Nomination and Voluntary Membership and answers to other queries members may have.
