Following the regrettable resignation of Pio Tikoduadua as Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, I have appointed the Honourable Parveen Kumar – the current Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment – to also assume the portfolio of Infrastructure and Transport.
I have also appointed two Assistant Ministers in the portfolios: The Honourable Vijay Nath becomes Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, relinquishing his existing portfolio of Assistant Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts.
The Honourable Lorna Eden is also appointed as Assistant Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment, relinquishing her existing portfolio as Assistant Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism.
In addition to these appointments, I have appointed the Honourable Jilila Kumar to be Assistant Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts.
