SUVA WATER DISRUPTIONS

The Water Authority of Fiji advises its customers residing in the greater parts of Suva that the two major leakages affecting the flow to Tamavua Water Treatment Plant have been repaired.

The inflow level at Tamavua reservoir however is slowing increasing and improvement is progressive.

Water carts will continue to supply to the following affected areas:

–       Elevated areas in Delainavesi, Lami /Qauia, Uduya Point, Samoan Settlement, Panaromic View, Ben Naiveli Hill down to Togalevu Naval Base.

–       Queen Elizabeth Drive, Domain, Ratu Sukuna Road, Nasese, Flagstaff, Muanikau, Baker, Waimanu Road, Robertson Road, Namadi Heights and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, the following areas will also be affected as a result of low levels in the Dokanaisuva reservoir triggered by low levels in the Tamavua reservoir:

–       From the junction of Khalsa to Tacirua, Seven Day Adventist Church, Dokanaisuva, Savutalele Settlement, Upper Lakha Singh Road, Sakoca Settlement, Deoji Street and Amputch Street.

Customers residing in the affected areas are advised to store and use water wisely until supply is fully restored.
