VODAFONE’S 19 NETBOOKS WINNER

A school in Sigatoka has been the lucky winner of 19 Geteks for Vodafone’s 19th Birthday promotion. Rahmatullah Khan Memorial School was surprised by Vodafone Fiji’s staff to hand over their prize on Thursday.

Vodafone’s Corporate Manager West, Mr. Antonio Kitione handed over the 19 Netbooks to the school whilst congratulating the school on their win. The school had 1064 texts that declared them the winner for the competition. There were around 115 different school names being texted  and Rahmatullah Khan Memorial School had their name texted in the most.

The Head Teacher of Rahmatullah Khan Memorial School, Mr. Rajendra Dass whilst acknowledging Vodafone Fiji and its staff said that the “school can now easily connect to the world of information through internet acccess as with the Netbooks, the school was also given 19 Flashnets. The school had been in need of technological facilities to further assist in the educational development of the school. “Now our students and teachers alike can enjoy the benefits of connectivity to the world wide web. Additionally, we can enhance the educational development through the involvement and use of new technological devices in our curriculum, said Mr. Dass.

Mr. Dass also thanked all the members of the public who took the initiative in texting the school’s name for the competition. The school’s teachers and students gathered to appreciate Vodafone Fiji for allowing for such a competition that has won them the devices and for hand delivering the Geteks to the school.
