Men in Black with an early throttle to score in the first minute came through the boots of Ba’s deadly attacker Kiniviliame Naika followed by the second goal by Tuimasi Manuca  in the 24th minute of the first half; yet the side beaming with confidence was leading Rewa 2 goals to nil in the first half.

The second half wasn’t much of applauding as a two goal margin can sometimes leave the other side without hope in a game of 60minute soccer as top sticker Osea Vakatalesau nailed the final pin on the coffin for the Ba side leaving a full time score of Ba 3 – Rewa 0.

With the last match of the day two in contention; hosts Design Engineering Lautoka might get an early exit from this year’s Courts IDC as the side lost to Labasa in their second pool match by 2-1.

Ba and Labasa now have more of the chances to qualify for the semi-finals as both the sides have four points in their pool and a win for them tomorrow would seal their place for Sunday’s semi-finals in pool A, while pool B still remains wide open at this stage as Suva having only four points which means Nadroga, Nadi and Navua still have equal chances to qualify for the semi-finals.

Match Day 3 of  matches would see the final pool playoffs for all the eight top Super Premier teams battling out for the IDC Trophy starting from 3pm with Fortec  Rewa taking on Dalip Chand Busses Labasa, Coastal Rentals/Nokia Nadroga playing Navua at 4.15pm, followed by the third match of the afternoon with the defending champions Finance Pacific Suva taking on the Jacks Nadi side and concluding with the final pool matches hosts Design Engineering Lautoka playing neighbors 4R Electric Ba at 6.45pm.

Overall Match Day 2 Results:

Suva 1 – Navua 1
Nadi 1 – Nadroga 1
Ba 3 – Rewa 0
Lautoka 1 – Labasa 2

Meanwhile, 2013 Secondary Schools finals will be played against Saraswati College of Waila, Nausori and Drasa Secondary of Lautoka on Sunday at 2.15pm.
