Digicel Fiji opens doors to newly refurbished Labasa store

Friday 2nd May – A newly refurbished shop was officially opened by Digicel Fiji in Main Street, Labasa this morning.

The store was opened by Paralympic gold medalist and Digicel brand ambassador, Mr. Iliesa Delana who was also accompanied by Pacific sprint king, Banuve Tabakaucoro and former Fiji Rugby sevens captain, Setefano Cakaunivalu.

Digicel Fiji’s Commercial Director, Mr. Andrew Skelton was full of praise for the 100 per-cent uplift in the store, which is one of its kind in Labasa.

“For us at Digicel, this is a remarkable investment and it caters for all types of customers. This is good for us as this will help us grow our ever-growing and expanding customer base.”

“With such a top class shop in Labasa, we wanted to do something different, we have brought world-class retail experience to this newly refurbished store.”

The Labasa shop has touch-screen technology that showcases all the devices and pricing plans. This will help customers truly understand the features of the devices as well as the associated price plans.

There’s a dedicated business lounge that has a smart TV that allows for internet and power point presentations to tailor make and satisfy the requirements of business customers.

Skelton added, “We are delighted to bring world class retail experience, world class technology to our customers in Labasa but most importantly to be able to do this at affordable prices to our customers in the North.”

“A significant investment has been made in this top class store. This development in Labasa will also see new employment of up to 10 – 15 people as we need more staff for the store and also invest in a new direct sales team,” added Mr. Skelton.

Paralympic gold medalist, Iliesa Delana said he was delighted to have been given this opportunity to officially open the doors to this latest addition of Digicel Fiji’s stores in Fiji.

“As you can see, cutting-edge technology is displayed in this shop and this is a fabulous store.”

Delana was joined by other brand ambassadors, Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro and former Fiji Rugby sevens captain, Setefano Cakaunivalu, during the opening ceremony and acknowledged the wonderful sponsorship and support of Digicel Fiji which he said had helped them in their development on and off the field.
