Namosi Valley Update
Road works around Namosi Valley road is in progress. These roads have been extensively damaged and many roads are only passable with 4WD vehicles. The public are advised to avoid travel in this area if possible.
The following roads are not accessible to heavy vehicles & buses until further notice due to safety reasons.
1. Nabulakaluka – Waisomo Crossing
– Open to 4×4 vehicles only
2. Naseuvou Road
– Open to 4×4 vehicles only
3. Sailadrau Road
– Open to 4×4 vehicles only
The following roads are closed.
1. Wainiwaqa Road – Wainiwaqa Bailey Bridge
– Road closed at the bridge but accessible for pedestrians.
2. Nakavika (Off Namuamua Road)
– Road closed at Namado Gorge crossing
– Backfilling and clearing works in progress
3. Delailasakau Road, between Nasirotu village & Wainiwaqa village
– Road closed
Northern Division
1. Natewa West Coast (From Nayaroyaro settlement to Vunivia settlement)
– Expected to be open for buses by 06/03/2014
– Open to 4×4 vehicles only, drive with caution
