Fiji is blessed with natural beauty, and very warm and loving people. It is these factors that sees close to Seven Hundred Thousand visitors to our shores. Statistics show the average stay in Fiji is seven days, invariably the stay is planned by the travel agent of their home country. The stay includes visit to islands, adventure sports, temple visit and Fijian village visit.

Fiji is rich in culture, cuisine and celebrations and our research shows us this is what was missing when one visits Fiji.

Subhas Chandra the pioneer of the NZPTC which has been well established in Fiji with quality Education and Sports Academy delivery recognized this shortfall in the tourism market, and he began actively pursuing partners from India who shared the vision of what could be done to preserve the diverse cultures.

He also recognized it would be an outlet for the students who had undertaken courses at the three NZPTC campuses to carry out their practical and ultimately find fulltime employment.

He also saw it as an avenue for village craftsman to showcase their talents and make a living from these talents. The Heritage Hamlet will provide the visitors and locals alike the opportunity to witness first hand the diverse Culture, Cuisine and Celebrations this multi racial nation has to offer.

Heritage Hamlet has incorporated all that is needed to make a visit a memorable experience with quaint mud and thatch dwellings capturing the spirit of Rajasthan and typical village scenes spread over eight acres.

A visit to the Heritage Hamlet will see you enjoy the traditional costumes, you can also wear the costumes and have your photo taken.

You will witness and partake in traditional games, enjoy the Live Dance and Music from World Class performers and jump up on stage for the traditional folk dancing. There will be farm activities where innovative farming techniques will be on display giving visitors the opportunity to learn new methods of livestock farming including zero grazing.
This venture into Agro Tourism will also serve as quality practical for the NZPTC agriculture students.

With so much to see and do at the Heritage Hamlet everyone is going to find themselves hungry, and what a great time to try out the Eleven different food stalls that are located in the Hamlet. The stalls will be serving traditional street food made on the spot and served hot featuring eleven varieties of cuisine.

The Heritage Hamlet concept is an all inclusive price for admission which will entitle you to all activities, rides and all you can eat from the 11 food stalls. The Hamlet will collect the best cooks, craftsman from nearby villages and Abroad for the best cuisine, and showcase their talents.

The aim at the Heritage Hamlet is to preserve and encourage the diverse Village Art, Culture and Cuisine, and to get today’s generation closer to their past. The Heritage Hamlet is rediscovering for Culture , Cuisine and Celebration and making it a must visit for tourists and locals.

Included in the Hamlet will be facilities for the staging of Weddings of all sizes with various themes, along with Corporate Conferences and meetings.

To encourage the schools to utilize the facility and become a valuable learning experience the Heritage Hamlet will be offering attractive packages to school students.

In recognition of the importance of this project the Hon Minister for Agriculture Mr Inia Seruiratu will perform the Foundation Laying Ceremony; He will be accompanied by Special dignitaries including the Indian High Commissioner who will plant trees to mark this occasion.
