The Namosi Joint venture boosted the Prime Minister’s Relief fund with a $5000 donation that will assist government’s rehabilitation efforts on communities affected by the recent Tropical Cyclone Evan.

NJV country manager Greg Morris said the company was willing to contribute to a worthy course such as rebuilding the lives of Fijian citizens.

“We commend those people that have managed to return to normalcy but we will continue to provide our assistance towards rehabilitation purposes,” Mr Morris said.

Acting Permanent Secretary for Provincial Development Filipe Alifereti commended the company for their efforts whilst receiving the donation.

He also provided an update on the rehabilitation works undertaken around the country especially in the Northern division.

“We are continuing with rehabilitation works however we kindly request the public to co-operate with DISMAC towards this exercise,” he said

“Relief items are temporary, our advice to the people is to not rely on government but make an effort to return to normalcy.”
