Motibhai Group to launch Sony Xperia smartphones


Wednesday 25 September – Motibhai Group in conjunction with Digicel Fiji have announced that they’ll be launching the Sony Xperia smartphones range in Suva on Thursday.

The VIP customer’s only launch function will be held at the Sony Shop at Prouds Suva Central from 6 to 8pm.

Motibhai Group’s marketing coordinator for Sony, Tharoon Chetty believes this will be a wonderful evening for customers.

“This will be an ideal experience for our VIP customers to check-out the widest range of Sony Xperia smartphones that we have on offer plus they also go into the draw to win fabulous Sony prizes when they enter in the store,” said Chetty.

“There will be presentation of special features of full range of Sony Xperia smartphones and a chance to meet and mingle with some of the sports stars in the country.”

Digicel Fiji’s brand ambassadors, 2012 Paralympics gold medalist Iliesa Delana, Pacific’s fastest man Banuve Tabakaucoro, Fiji rugby 7s players Osea Kolinisau and Benito Masilevu along with international rugby referee James Bolabiu will also attend the special launch function.

The Sony Xperia range of phones is selling for as low as $369.00 for Xperia E and the latest 6.44”Xperia Z Ultra is going for $1,799.00.

Digicel Fiji is delighted to partner with Motibhai Group and Sony to launch this range of smartphones.

Digicel’s head of marketing, Sheryl Singh says,” Every customer will be given 20GB data when they buy a Sony Xperia smartphone during the launch until 31 October 2013.”

The launch function on Thursday will be followed by a two-day special Sony Xperia at the Prouds Suva Central for the general public. The Digicel brand ambassadors will also engage in friendly rivalry, testing their skills against each other in Play-Station battle games where members of the public can also challenge them for a game.
