NAUSORI RESIDENTS ASKED TO STORE WATER

The Water Authority of Fiji wishes to advise customers living in some parts of Nausori Town and its surrounding areas that supply will be disrupted from 8 pm tonight to 5 am tomorrow morning.

This is to allow our Project Unit to make an important pipe interconnection works along the Waila Raralevu trunk main during this period.

This work is necessary as it will improve supply to our Raralevu Reservoir which will boost supply to parts of Tailevu South and the Rewa Delta.

Areas affected are Nausori Town, Vunivivi Hill, Manoca Subdivision, Lakena Hill, Verata Wailevu Village, Auckland Subdivision, Kasavu Village, Naduruloulou Agricultural Station.

All villages in the Tikina of Bau,  all villages of the Tikina of Nakelo, all villages of the Tikina of Noco, Waila Housing and Dilkusha Housing.

Customers living in the above mentioned areas are therefore asked to store enough water to last them more than 10 hours.

Water trucks has been arranged to cart water to the affected areas.

Supply is expected to be restored after the work has been completed.
