Over the next 15 days the Fiji Police will facilitate a motorcycle training course at the Police Special Response Unit (PSRU) Headquarters in 8       Miles, Nasinu.

The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources Department had purchased a set of motorcycles to help them improve service delivery in reaching   out to members of the public.

The Land Ministry turned to the Force for training because it had the resources and the expertise to educate its staff on the operational aspects of motorcycles.

The 15 day workshop was officially launched by the Fiji Police Force Director of Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahesh Mishra who   reminded the participants that their understanding of the use of motorcycles and its accompanying laws of our roads will be enhanced after   training.

SSP Mishra said he hoped that the exchange of knowledge between the Force and the Ministry over the next few days will also assist Police in   trying to improve road safety.
