The Fijian Police is investigating a boating accident at Mana Island that occurred on the evening of Thursday 15 May, which has resulted in the death of an Australian tourist staying at Mana Island Resort.
It is believed that the deceased, a male aged 40 years sustained head injuries as a result of the accident, and was unable to be revived at the scene.
The Ministry of Tourism is grateful to Tourism Fiji and members of the Fijian tourism industry who rallied to assist family and friends travelling with the deceased as the Fijian Police conducts its investigation.
