Deepawali Mela 2013 in Australia

The Sanatan Satsang Sabha of NSW Inc in conjunction with Punjas has organized something for the people and Hindu’s living in Liverpool, Australia.

The festival of lights or mostly known as Deepawali which is celebrated by millions of Hindus around the world during the month of “Kartik” in the Hindu calendar; as the story goes according to the epic ‘Ramayana’; the festival celebrates the return of Lord Ram, Ma Sita and Lakshman to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana and conquering Lanka. The citizens of Ayodhya decorated the entire city with the earthen lamps and illuminated it like never before.

Deepawali Mela 2013 as the event is known as will be celebrated as a two day event, Saturday 19th October from 10am till midnight and Sunday 20th October from 10am till 5pm at Biggie Park, Biggie Street in Liverpool NSW 2170.

With great fun and entertainment guaranteed; there would be Live Band by the ‘Gurus’ and Trikuttu Items by the Mega Power of Sydney boys on Saturday night, also Karaoke’s by Jagdish Punja from NZ and other entertaining performances by various artists together with Cultural dances and not forgetting delicious foods and variety stalls would also be available.
