A school teacher of Labasa who was a victim of a car accident on Sunday morning died yesterday at the CWM Hospital.
The deceased was airlifted to Suva on Tuesday however succumbed to his injuries yesterday. Earlier on two people were taken and cautioned interviewed and released in relation to this incident.
A post mortem will be conducted soon.
This is another case where a pedestrian has been the victim of a road accident.
Also to note motorists are also requested to take extra precautions during this period of unfavorable weather.
Pedestrians too need to be mindful of the traffic and be more careful while walking on the road. The total road fatality stands at 32 compared to 35 in the same period last year.
Out of the 32 people that have died on the road, 20 were pedestrians.
