Sekove to start Australian player placement

MEDIA RELEASE

Fiji national player, Sekove Ravoka, will depart for Australia next Tuesday, being the first Fijian cricketer to start an Australian player placement for the 2013-2014 season.

Sekove will be based at the Cowaramup Cricket Club, which plays in the Busselton Margaret River Cricket Association, based four hours south of Western Australia’s capital of Perth.

Cricket Fiji High Performance Manager, Joe Rika, said Sekove’s placement will be a valuable experience for the development of his game and for Cricket Fiji.

“We hope that he can bring what he learns back with him to Cricket Fiji, to help us re-qualify for (World Cricket League) Division 6 in 2014,” Rika said.

Sekove lives in Nakavu, and works as a Development Officer for Cricket Fiji in the west.
