Update on the Fiji Airways A330 Incident and Disruption Period

Fiji-Airways.jpg

Fiji Airways has today advised that repair work on its A330 aircraft involved in the tarmac incident on May 16th have begun. However we’re unable to confirm a date for return to service at this stage.

In the interim period, we anticipate that disruptions to our schedules will continue until next week. We have published a schedule of disrupted flights on our website (http://www.fijiairways.com/flight-information/travel-alerts/) and request that passengers please check to see if their flights are affected.

Fiji Airways will work to ensure that disruptions are minimised, but this isn’t always possible. The airline chartered an aircraft last weekend to operate two of its flights, and will have two more charters this week. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused in this period and share the frustrations of our customers.
