A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS OF MAMANUCA GROUP, SOUTHERN VITI LEVU, KADAVU, BEQA, VATULELE, LOMAIVITI AND SOUTHERN LAU GROUP.

Situation: An intense low pressure system to the far south of Fiji is expected to generate and direct heavy southerly swells over the southern parts of the group.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Damaging heavy swells may lead to sea flooding of low lying coastal areas of Mamanuca group, Southern Viti Levu, Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele, Lomaiviti and Southern Lau group. Elsewhere, moderate southerly swells. Moderate to rough seas. Fine apart from brief showers over the eastern and interior parts of larger islands.  Cool at night.

Outlook for MONDAY : Fine apart from brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Cool at night.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Cloudy periods with brief showers. Cool nights.

Outlook for MONDAY: Fine apart from brief showers. Cool at night.

For Nadi / Lautoka/ Ba: Fine. Cool nights.

Outlook for MONDAY : Fine. Cool at night.

For Labasa : Fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers. Cool nights.

For Savusavu : Cloudy periods with brief showers.

For Rotuma : A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IS NOW IN FORCE FOR LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS AND WATERS OF ROTUMA.

Damaging heavy swells may lead to sea flooding of low lying coastal areas of Rotuma. Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Moderate easterly winds.

Outlook for MONDAY : Some showers.
