Billboard Boon For Coral Coast Sevens

Four local signage companies have become Official Suppliers to the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens.

Mana Graphix Ltd, Go Advertising Ltd, ProDesign Images Ltd and Media Metro Ltd will ensure the tournament will not lack for publicity this November.

Between them, the quartet has agreed to provide billboards, advertising material and other marketing services ahead of, and at, the tournament in Sigatoka on 13-15 November.

Tournament Director Nick Jordan said their contribution was greatly appreciated.

“We are grateful for the support of these leading signage companies as the promotion ahead of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens is critical to its success,” he said. “We look forward to seeing outstanding material on display around Fiji as we prepare for the fifth edition of the tournament.”

Anand Vishal of Mana Graphix said they were delighted to be back for a second successive year.

“Last year we were honoured to supply the perimeter signage which gave Lawaqa Park a real ‘arena’ feel,” he said. “With the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens getting stronger year by year, and again attracting some big names, we are pleased to again become a signage partner and support the growth of the event.”

Mana Graphix will also supply pull-up banners, media backdrops and other venue signage.

Twenty-four men’s and 16 women’s teams – up from 12 last year – contest the $75,000 prize pool while former New Zealand Sevens captain Karl Tenana is the guest of honour.

“We are excited to be part of the tournament for the first time in its five-year history,” said Charles Wakeham, Director, Go Advertising. “The tournament continues to grow in stature and we are looking forward to working with ProDesign to showcase our billboards leading up to the event.”

The pair provide billboard and bus shelter advertising across Fiji and will advertise the tournament in Nadi, Suva and host town Sigatoka for a month prior to the event.

Grant Moreton of Media Metro, who specialise in airport advertising, marketing and design, said the international element of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens was particularly appealing.

“With approximately 15 overseas teams, along with international referees and media, coming to Fiji this November we are thrilled to be getting involved,” he said. “Our billboards at both Nadi and Nausori airports will make all our visitors feel welcome in the spiritual home of rugby sevens.”

Rangataua (NZL), Serevi Selects (USA) and Lauli’i Lions (SAM) are the overseas teams confirmed to date in the men’s competition while no fewer than 10 women’s teams will fly in for the Crest Na Iri Trophy.

“Over the last week we have been in discussions with three more overseas men’s teams while a number of sponsors are also keen to join Outrigger on the Lagoon, Coastal Rental Cars, Serevi Selects and The Naviti Resort in the lineup,” said Tournament Director Nick Jordan.

“We have a limited number of ‘sponsor team’ places still available and are also calling for entries in the Coastal Great Eight, the qualifier to be held on 31 October and 1 November. We encourage teams to contact us quickly, as only 32 teams will be accepted.”
