A farmer in his mid 30’s is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality.
The 35 year old was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a 36 year old from Ra along Mission Hill, Nadovi, Rakiraki last night at 9.30pm.
The deceased was rushed to the Rakiraki hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon, while the driver is in Police custody as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, the road death toll currently stands at 30 compared to 34 for the same period last year.
