USP LAUTOKA CAMPUS OPEN DAY

The University of the South Pacific (USP) Lautoka is preparing for a grand OPEN DAY on Friday 7th August at the Churchill Park Carnival Ground from 9 am to 7 pm.

The exhibition will include display of programs and courses from the Faculty of Arts Law and Education; Faculty of Business and Economics; Faculty of Science Technology and Environment; College of Foundation Studies; Pacific TAFE (Technical and Further Education); and Continuing and Community Education. Academic staff will also be available to provide guidance to all prospective students seeking information to further their qualifications and/or upgrade their competency skills for workplace.

The display will also include the two latest USP programs offered through its Lautoka Campus; namely, MBA and Chinese language conversational and written classes at various levels. One of the highlights will be the Chinese Tea Ceremony!

The Open Day will be initiated at 9am by The Commissioner Western, Mr Manasa Tagicakibau. The official opening ceremony will be attended by invited guests and some high school students and teachers.

Over 2000 high school students from the Western Division are expected to visit the exhibition on Friday 7th August. While high school students are scheduled to tour the booths from 9.30am to 3.30pm, the members of the public can visit the booths at any time convenient to them between 9.30am and 7.00 pm.

The two other highlights of the target groups is the especial invitation to the managers and HR managers of corporate and public sectors to find out for themselves what all USP offers for their staff development ranging from front office staff to supervisors and managers. Secondly, the USP Alumni living and working in the Western Division are also invited for a reunion from 5.00 to 6.00pm.

The exhibition will provide a grand opportunity to the people of the West to learn more about the study opportunities available through USP Lautoka.
