60 Computers to Boost Schools 

26 August. 2014:  Nine schools will have a good start to the third school term with a timely donation of 60 computers from Fiji Airways.

Presenting the computers over to some of the Head Teachers present at the Fiji Airways Head Office in Nadi, Stefan Pichler, Managing Director & CEO of Fiji Airways said that he hoped the computers will have a positive impact on the students.

“We need our future generations to be competitive and we need to embrace the fact that we are living in the digital era,” Mr. Pichler said. “This is a great opportunity for the students to have access to computers in their own schools so that they are moving at a decent pace with the rest of the world.”

Ba Andhra Sangam Primary School Head Teacher, Mr. Sushil Kumar received the computers on behalf of his students was grateful for the donation.

“We have a school roll of 83 students and these computers will be used and shared by our class 5 to 8 students as computer studies is part of the school curriculum,” Mr. Kumar said.

Schools that benefited from the donation were Masimasi Primary School, Ba Andhra Sangam Primary School, Mount Saint Mary’s School, St. Agnes Primary School, Maigania Muslim Primary School, St. Joan of Arc Primary, Gau Secondary School and Vashist Muni College.
