Public consultations continue this week by the Ministry of Agriculture in all divisions across the country.

In the Central Division, farmers have been attending consultation sessions at the Ministry of Agriculture Office at Ratu Cakobau House in Nausori.

Farmers from the Lau Group and Rotuma were also present at the Nausori Agriculture office to seek advice.

The Ministry’s Principal Agriculture Officer in the Central Division, Ms Tepola Seniloli, said this consultation program is important for farmers. “This is an opportunity to make the farmers aware of what the Ministry of Agriculture has to offer them.”

She said that another area that was discussed was the criteria for farmers interested in agriculture assistance or funds.

The Ministry of Agriculture’s Public Consultation Program that started last week continues this week and is being held at various Agriculture Stations, Police Stations and Schools around the country.

The consultation will end this Saturday February 14. The public can enquire at their nearest Agriculture Office for the venues and dates of consultation.
