Army, Nasaqalau leading Suva Cricket in Round 2

Three games into Round 2 of the Suva Cricket League and it seems that, barring Army, it’s anyone’s game!

With the exception of the Army Cricket Club defending the Pepetual Cup week after week, the weekly matches are seemingly getting harder and harder to predict.  However, despite Army’s dominance, they sit tied atop the Premier Grade table with Yadrana on 51 points.  They are followed by Sarafui (46), newcomers to the Premier Grade, Komo (41.5), Moce II (35), Covenant Brothers (35.5), who have also been recently promoted from the A Grade, BSP Titans (22) and Moce I (-4), who have a negative score due to several recent forfeits.

In the A Grade, newcomers to the competition in 2014, Nasaqalau, sit atop the table with 43 points, after a solid start to their second half of the season.  However the competition is tight at the top, with Suva Grammar School Old Boys (SGSOB) trailing in second on 38 points. VICC, who were relegated from the Premier Grade after Round 1, sit third on 29, followed by Oneata (24) and Police (12).  Bringing up the rear is Ono-I-Lau, who after their relegation from the Premier Grade, are yet to get on the board in Round 2.
