Bail denied for alleged drug dealer

Fourty-four year old man pleaded guilty and applied for bail, later got denied due to a very serious drug charge.

The accused who is the sole breadwinner, wanted to look after his five children, four of whom are at school and university.

Facing a serious drug charge, the subsistence farmer will either be sentenced to life imprisonment or a total fine of $1,000,000, or both.

“In my view the accused chances for bail is very slim.

“Given the above, I deny the accused’s application for bail, he is remanded in custody, until further orders of the court,” he said.
