British High Commissioner visits police

His Excellency the High Commissioner, Mr. Roderick Drummond and the Defence Advisor, LT COL Tim Woodman of British High Commission this morning paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Commissioner of Police and senior staff at the Fiji Police Headquarters in Nasinu.

 His Excellency the High Commissioner was accorded a quarter – guard by officers at the Headquarters before he was given a brief overview of the Fiji Police Force.

 In an audience with the senior officers, he told them that he was really impressed with what he observed and a great honor to visit the Force.

 Director Planning Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Erami Raibe briefed the Commissioner about the Force and its future projections.

 SSP Raibe outlined the work of the Fiji Police Force and also discussed issues and challenges faced by the organization.

Following a brief on the overview of the Fiji Police, the High Commissioner and the Defence Advisor were treated to a morning tea.
