MEDIA RELEASE

InterContinental Fiji is proud to announce that it will once again host the Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange (BFTE) from 26 May to 28 May 2014, and promises that it is going to be bigger and better than the highly acclaimed 2013 BFTE.

InterContinental Fiji was applauded by the Chairman of Trustees, David Voss, for their innovative itinerary which contributed to the success of the 2013 BFTE event. He said “The professionalism of the resort staff and management contributed greatly in making the event seamless and unforgettable.” The event gained much popularity amongst both buyers and sellers, compelling organisers to return to InterContinental Fiji in 2014 for another spectacular event.

BFTE 2013 brought together buyers from all over the world and sellers from all over the region. The travel trade show creates the ultimate platform for networking opportunities with key industry partners, and opens the world to the best of what Fiji and the Pacific’s tourism industry has on offer. The three day event featured choreographed entertainment from the vibrant VOU dance group, a fashion show showcasing renowned local designer Hupfeld Hoerder’s Fijian Bridal Couture line, InterContinental Fiji’s Signature Event the Elements of Natadola and all delivered with the InterContinental Fiji’s distinctive world class service.

“We are thrilled by the opportunity to welcome back the BFTE in 2014, and we are committed to making the event a success for buyers and sellers alike,” says General Manager, Mr. Scott Williams. “Following the success of this year’s BFTE event we are expecting the 2014 event to attract record numbers, including global buyers from the northern hemisphere, which will directly benefit the tourism industry in Fiji and the South Pacific as a whole,” Mr. Williams explained.

Overlooking one of the best beaches in the world, InterContinental Fiji offers three swimming pools, a dive centre, yoga deck, luxurious spa, an award winning fine dining restaurant, and a dedicated kids club; all set across 35 acres of tropical gardens.
