Bula Mai Returns

By ASHTOSH SINGH

It is that time of the year again, after having two successful years of fundraising efforts for the Nadi Community Hospital Project Bula Mai this year aims to go an extra mile

In 2011 Project Bula Mai’s inaugural charity event raised in excess of $150,000.00 in cash and kind, surpassing our target of $100,000.00 followed by in 2012 the project raised over $130,000.

The funds raised from the past 2 years was used to purchase a total of $80,000.00 worth of brand new equipment for the Nadi Hospital, which was officially handed over to the Minister for Health on 14th July 2012, with the rest of the funds being used to assist in maintenance works for the hospital, including construction of the fence encompassing the perimeter of the hospital complex, which was completed with the assistance of the Fiji Military Forces.

The above would not have been possible without the support and assistance from sponsors who so generously give without hesitation in both cash and kind, as well as a group of volunteers who support the working committee to ensure the success of the event.

Meanwhile, the Style Fiji Red Carpet Event this year will have a slightly different program starting with the meet and greet segment of our international guests, complementary drink,   dinner and wine, followed by an evening of fashion, auction and entertainment as well as a live band and dancing to end the evening.
