A bus which was carrying 50 students from Adi Cakobau School caught fire in its engine section where the students had to jump out from the window in Colo-i-Suva this morning.
The National Fire Authority has confirmed that the students had panicked and pushed the window out somehow, while some students have also sustained minor injuries while bailing out from the bus.
Meanwhile, the driver of the bus was trying to put out the fire with the help of an extinguisher present inside the bus when the firefighters reached the scene, investigations on the cause of fire to the engine continues.
