Confucius Institute Graduation at USP Lautoka

Age is no limit was the message when a 70 and a 7 year old successfully completed social Chinese Language courses amongst others at the University of the South Pacific (USP) Lautoka Campus.
About 40 students graduated after successfully completing social Chinese language courses at Beginners, Intermediate and Advance levels at USP Lautoka in Semester I 2015, which ended on 19th June.

This marked the completion of the third cohort of social Chinese language course delivery at USP Lautoka, said USP Lautoka Campus Director, Dr Pramila Devi.

“The Chinese Language conversational level courses started in Lautoka in early 2014 and have since grown in number” said Dr Devi. A majority of those graduated are working people in different field such as hotels, restaurants and supermarkets, she said.
While congratulating the graduates, Dr Devi acknowledged the Confucius Institute at USP for bringing the Chinese language social level courses to Lautoka for the Western Community. Dr Devi added that there is a huge demand for Chinese language courses.

She further added that credit level courses in Chinese language will also now be offered at Lautoka Campus.
