Cricket Fiji can confirm it will have a new home as of next month, with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Fiji’s cricketing body and the Fiji Sports Council being signed on Friday.

Cricket Fiji’s General Manager, Inoke Lesuma, met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Sports Council, Mrs Litiana Loabuka, last Friday to seal the deal.  Manager of the property adjacent to the ground, John Pickering, was also in attendance as a witness.

The MoU, which is valid for three years, outlines that a synthetic pitch, two practice nets and outdoor lighting will be installed at the new facility at Bidesi Park, with the wooden structure adjacent to be used as the organisation’s headquarters and know as ‘Cricket Fiji House’.

Cricket Fiji staff are expected to relocate to their new premises on April 1, with the new pitch to be installed and ready for use in the final week of March.
