The Tuatura Gayatri Temple in Labasa caught fire around two this afternoon.
The fire has said to damaged the temple badly though fire fighters have managed to control the fire after two fire trucks were dispatched from the Labasa fire station after a call from a witness present at the scene.
Meanwhile, cost of the damage would be told later as investigations continue.
