DATE OF SOUTH PACIFIC TOURISM EXCHANGE TIMED TO FOLLOW TRENZ 2014

South Pacific Tourism Organisation Marketing Manager Petero Manufolau said today that the date of South Pacific Tourism Exchange 2014 was carefully chosen to follow immediately on from TRENZ 2014, which finishes on Wednesday 21 May 2014, with TRENZ New Zealand’s largest travel and tourism exchange and attracting up to 260 international buyers.

A video interview with Mr Manufolau can be accessed and used by link or downloaded from http://youtu.be/xFc3DTuRBZw and used without restriction.

Mr Manofolau said that he envisaged a large number of TRENZ participants will add SPTE 2014 to their itinerary while in New Zealand and the region and that with convenient and direct access into the Pacific, Auckland is the most cost effective destination to host SPTE 2014 as New Zealand is also a key source market for many Pacific island countries and therefore also offering South Pacific regional participants opportunities to strengthen partnerships with their New Zealand counterparts whilst in Auckland.

He said that International buyers participating in TRENZ 2014 would also be able to maximise the effectiveness of travel and other budgets to the region, with SPTE taking place immediately after and for some SPTE an added value to their participation at TRENZ 2014.
