Thursday 10 January 2013 – Digicel Fiji today announced its partnership with FASANOC with a sponsorship of $7,000 towards its flagship event, the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame Fiji Olympic Order. Every year FASANOC inducts deserving athletes into the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame and this is done at the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame and Fiji Olympic Order Dinner. This year’s event will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Novotel Hotel in Suva.
Digicel Fiji Head of Marketing Ms. Sheryl Singh states, “We are extremely delighted to partner with FASANOC to bring you this year’s Fiji Sports Hall of fame and Fiji Olympic Order Awards Night and I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to FASANOC for giving us the opportunity to be involved in this year’s event”.
“Since its inception in 2008, Digicel Fiji has been supporting the development of Rugby, Paralympics and other sports and has substantially contributed to many worthy causes, most of which have been community-based. We are delighted to continue today through our involvement with the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame and Fiji Olympic Order programme,” she said.
She added that over the years, FASANOC had done very well in terms of developing sports at grassroots levels and this year’s Fiji Sports Hall of Fame and Fiji Olympic Order was an indication of FASANOC’s commitment to sports in Fiji.
