Digicel to open retail outlet in Damodar City Centre

Wednesday 31 July – Digicel Fiji will make a heavy investment to open a new Retail Store at the Damodar City Centre in Raiwai where customers can expect a new retail experience.

Digicel Fiji and Damodar City Centre signed the tenancy deal in Suva today.

“We can confirm that we will invest heavily in this new outlet and this store will become the Flagship Retail outlet in Fiji,” said Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr Maurice McCarthy.

“We are thrilled to be part of this deal and the new Damodar City Centre,” added Mr McCarthy.

The new Retail Store will also benefit the many students at the University of the South Pacific.

The tenancy agreement signed today will see Digicel Fiji set up a state of the art Retail Store to sell Digicel products and services to new and existing customers. Handsets, tablets, sim cards, top up credit, accessories, Digicel mobile money including Unwired internet plan, 3G modems and e-ticketing will be available at the new store.

“We are proud to have Digicel on board especially with the foresight in modern technology and mobile phones brought into the market by them,” said Damodar Bros (Films) Limited Chief Executive Officer, Div Damodar.

“There will be slight additions to the work force with some new jobs created with the new Retail Store opening,” said Mr McCarthy.

“This will ensure our customers to enjoy the best retail service in telecommunications. There will also be affordable smart phones available, something that has never been easy to achieve before,” added McCarthy.

Work on the new retail store is progressing well and the City Centre is set to open soon.
